Myanmar Exports-Imports

According to Myanmar’s Ministry of Commerce, for the fiscal period ending April 5, 2025, exports reached US$268 million, up from $176 million year‑on‑year—a ~US$92 million increase. Imports, however, declined by US$72 million, from $292 million to $220 million, trimming overall trade volume gains to just US$21 million.

Myanmar earned over $1.25 billion from the export of finished industrial goods in over first two months of the fiscal year (FY) 2020-2021, which started in October 2020. FY 2020-201’s figures decreased by over $819 million, compared to the same period of FY 2019-2020 when it registered over $2.07 billion. As of Oct. 12 in the fiscal year 2018-19 which started on Oct. 1, the country’s export amounted to $473 million while its import value was $710 million. The total trade increased by $459 million compared with the same period of the fiscal year 2017-18 when it showed $724 million. (Source: China.org.cn)
